"For Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the sake of the unrighteous, that he might lead you to God. Put to death in the flesh, he was brought to life in the spirit."
- 1 Peter 3:18
Jesus's resurrection is a moment of transformation for all Christians. Jesus is risen into new life and offers us new life too.
In the wake of Jesus's resurrection, we are also called to some level of growth and transformation. The resurrection is an invitation to see transformation all around us even to look at the ways in which we are changing for the better too.Lord, your love for us must be immense—infinite—as I can’t even imagine the suffering you endured as you loved us completely, even to the cross.
Your love brought us salvation, but at such a great cost.
You have restored all things.
You offer me new life every day in my relationships with my loved ones when things don’t go exactly as I hope they will, even when I feel lost, alone, or anxious God you offer me peace, strength, and joy.
Thank you for coming to save us so that we can have new life.
1. What difference has Jesus made in your life?
2. How has (or how might) encountering Jesus change you as a person?
3. How have you met Jesus in the sacraments? (mass, reconciliation, baptism, confirmation?)
