"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age" - Matthew 28:19-20
The final step of the kerygma, is the beginning of our call as Catholic's to defend the faith in word and deed.
After Jesus died and rose from the dead, he ascended into heaven. Yet he did not leave us alone, for He sent the Holy Spirit. The Spirit empowers the Church in its mission to transform the world.
In this step we hear God tellings us
"Go out, tell my children that I love them, let them know that I created them, I want to spend eternity with them. Go be my voice, tell your siblings, friends, and parents how much I love them, bring them into our family, help them to know how loved they are."
So, Go! Be Christ’s body, hands, feet, and eyes.
Lord, your Spirit gives me the courage to love others with the same compassion and care that you give to me. Send me first and foremost to better love my friends and family.
Send me to bring your love to my classmates struggling to belong.
Send me on a mission to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and offer friendship to the lonely.
Lord, send me to participate in your mission of transforming the entire world through your LOVE.
I desire to say to each and every person—no matter how weak, how broken, how lost: “God loves you! God loves you! God is with you.”
Through you, Jesus, all things are made new—including me. Help me to follow you, Lord.
1. How are you being called to love others better?
2. What can you do to be more open to the Holy Spirit working in your life?
3. How is God calling you to share your faith with others?
