In 1987, during the 150th Jubilee year of the Archdiocese, an ambitious undertaking to capture the oral histories of parishes was initiated. In some cases the interviewees could recall events, people, etc. going back to the early 1900's. So, these audio time-capsules provide not only a glimpse of parish history from the time of the interviews (1987) but also reach back in time to provide us with a glimpse of life as a Catholic in Northeast Iowa up to 120 years ago.
