Life, EArth, and Social Justice Ministry

The department of  Life, Earth, and Social Justice Ministry assists parishes, schools, and other Catholic institutions in the archdiocese in advocating for the critical themes of Catholic social teaching. This office accompanies parishes and schools in their outreach to these three areas of ministry:

• Life (aka Respect Life) 

Our department is committed to defending the primacy of life from "womb to tomb" while providing support and resources to those at the parishes, schools, and other Catholic institutions.  

• Earth (aka Care for Creation)

Our department helps lead the ministry to create awareness and action toward the care for our common home, as outlined by Pope Francis in "Laudato Si."

• Social Justice

Love your neighbor as yourself is not just something we hear from the pulpit on Sundays; it is how we're commanded to live. This department accompanies the "ministers in the field" serving those on the margins in our parishes and communities. We also work with public and civil leaders advocating for the preferential option for the poor.
