This year's theme for Season of Creation is "Let Peace and Justice Flow, like a Mighty River." In our Archdiocese, rivers play an essential part in our lives, with the Mississippi River flowing along our "east coast" and other rivers like the Maquoketa, Skunk, Upper Iowa, Cedar, and Wapsipinicon flowing within. The Archdiocese encourages Catholics and all people of goodwill to turn their hearts towards God's creation and reflect on its beauty and well-being.
Is this the year you begin to express your Care for Creation sincerely?
Here are some ways to do it:
The Archdiocese of Dubuque and the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium are hosting a free screening of Pope Francis' documentary "The Letter- a Message for our Earth" at the River Museum on Oct. 4th, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. A panel discussion, including Bishop Richard Pates, Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese, will follow the movie, which begins at 6:30pm.
The movie and panel discussion are free, but registration is required. Please visit the link below.
