Description:
In 1994, Archbishop Daniel W. Kucera, O.S.B., established a program of financial support for the education of eligible persons out of concern for the proper training and formation of laypersons for roles of service.
Funding from the Archdiocese of Dubuque consists of payment for two-thirds of the tuition per credit hour for major-related courses for those candidates who have been approved by their pastors and who have been accepted into a graduate degree program in Religious Studies approved by the Archdiocese of Dubuque. This grant also consists of payment for one-third of the tuition per credit hour for major-related courses for those candidates who have been approved by their pastors and who have been accepted into the bachelor’s degree program in Religious Studies/Theology in one of the Catholic colleges in the Archdiocese of Dubuque.

Any parishioner in the Archdiocese of Dubuque who is pursuing a degree in religious studies or theology.

Description:
The Archdiocese of Dubuque provides financial assistance for parish-authorized Faith Formation Leaders who receive limited or no funds for ongoing formation or professional development.
The programs that this money can be used for may be, but are not limited to professional development programs and conferences (up to $500) or membership dues in professional organizations for the field of faith formation (up to $75).

Description:
Scholarships are available through the Archdiocese of Dubuque Office of Marriage and Family Life to help offset the cost of training for medical providers or individuals or couples in the Archdiocese to become Natural Family Planning (NFP) instructors. Interested parties must go through an application process to be considered for a scholarship.
Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of up to $2,500 or 50% of the cost of training (whichever is less) for any NFP method approved by the Catholic Church (i.e. meets the USCCB Standards for Diocesan NFP Ministry).

Description:
The Leadership Grant Program was established in 1981 to assist in continuing formation and education of leaders to serve the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Grants are in the form of forgivable loans. Applicant submits an application to the Office of Catholic Schools to be accepted in the Leadership Grant Program at least one month prior to beginning a program or continuing of a program.
Potential applicants discuss with local and archdiocesan leadership their discernment of becoming a Catholic school principal and desire to complete needed coursework for licensure and can select an administrative program of their choice and the Office of Catholic Schools can guide the candidate about contacts for programming at various universities.

Teachers at archdiocesan Catholic schools.
